Film Review and Discussion: "Teach Us All"
In collaboration with Junior League of Reading and Girls on the Run Berks, please join us on February 3 @ 6 PM for a virtual watch party and subsequent panel discussion on the film Teach Us All.
Teach Us All is a documentary and social justice campaign on educational inequality set against the backdrop of the 1957 Little Rock school crisis. Sixty years after the Little Rock Nine faced violent resistance when desegregating Central High in Arkansas, America’s schools continue to represent the key battleground of the Civil Rights Movement. Teach Us All demonstrates powerful lessons from history within a timely context, emphasizing the need for unity and collective action to rectify the disparities among America’s children. The film weaves together interviews from two Little Rock Nine members, archival images, and news footage to ask: How far have we really come in 60 years and where do we go from here?
To register, sign-up below or email community@jlreading.org. "Watch Party Kits" graciously provided by Junior League of Reading for those who wish to screen the film with others.
