YVC Canstructure Contest

What is CANSTRUCTURE? Canstructure is a structure building competition to fight hunger. Teams of Berks County youth compete in a contest to build incredible structures made from cans of food.  Each team is responsible for holding its own food drive prior to the event to collect the cans for its structure and all canned food will be donated to the Helping Harvest Food Bank following the competition.

Youth Volunteer Corps of Reading held its 3rd annual Canstructure competition on March 7, 2020 at the Berkshire Mall. The theme was Inspire Kindness and the competition collected over 20,000 lbs of food for the Helping Harvest Food Bank!

There is no cost to students for this contest - please support Canstructure and YVC of Reading's year-round programming by making a donation here or texting the wording Inspire Kindness to 44-321.

Information on the 2021 Competition will be posted in the Fall on 2020. To learn more now, see 2020's Canstructure FlyerRegistration FormRules and the Itinerary for more information.
