S.T.A.R. Discussions -- The Many Facets of Allyship

Allyship, as defined by the Anti-Oppression Network, is the ongoing effort to unlearn biases and stand in solidarity with marginalized communities.

What does it personally mean to be an ally? How can we support marginalized groups facing discrimination? And how can we continue to educate ourselves and deepen our understanding of others?

Join us for virtual, youth-led conversations on becoming a better ally, hosted by students from the YVC Stand Together Against Racism (STAR) initiative. Together, we’ll explore key topics like implicit bias, stereotypes, and microaggressions, highlighting how understanding these concepts can empower us to be more effective allies.

You can actively participate in the conversation or just join and listen. Wherever you are in your learning journey, we welcome you!
