S.T.A.R. Discussions -- What Does It Mean To Be An Ally?

What does it mean to be an ally? How can we stand up for a person or group that is marganilized and discriminated against?

The term allyship – as defined by the Anti-oppression Network – is an active, consistent, and arduous practice of unlearning and re-evaluating, in which a person in a position of privilege seeks to operate in solidarity with a marginalized group.

Join this virtual youth conversation about how to be a better ally led by students from the YVC Stand Together Against Racism (STAR) initiative. You can actively participate in the conversation or just join and listen. Wherever you are in your learning journey, we welcome you!
