Mural Design Workshop with Artist Robert Pepper

As part of the Berks Social Justice Youth Initiative, YVC Reading and RIZE have partnered to engage youth from different backgrounds in collaborative projects that educate, promote tolerance, and raise awareness all while forging relationships among Berks County youth. This Mural Design Workshop with Artist Robert Pepper is one such project.

This 6-session workshop will take place on Tuesdays/Thursdays in July from 7-8:30 PM (July 6, 8, 13, 15, 20 and 22). Our goal is to find a way to work together as a single energy or force, to conceive of and refine a design, that when translated into a mural could be regarded as a significant work of art. The end-product of the workshop will be a collaborative design for a mural that will be translated into a large-scale mural at a different time.

Space is limited. By signing up to participate, you are committing to attend at least 5 of the 6 sessions.

All materials will be provided.

The Berks Social Justice Youth Initiative and this program are funded by the ‘You Are Here’ Grant from the Berks County Community Foundation.
