Youth Volunteer Corps - Helping Hands at Hensler
This opportuity reserved for students ages 11-18.
Did you know that the Reading Housing Authority helps seniors and those with disabilites find safe, affordable housing and offers programming to keep residents healthy and well? Hensler Home is one of those special places and they need our help!
The residents have access to a large community garden that is in need of some TLC and they could use some younger hands to help bring the garden back to life. Join us on May 23rd from 4pm-6pm as we kick off a summer series at Hensler, working side by side with residents to rebuild raised beds, build footpaths between plots and plant the seeds for a summer harvest!
YVC staff will be present to assist and supervise all activites. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a population that is often overlooked, so we do hope you'll join us!
