Youth Volunteer Corps - Green Thumbs in the City
This opportunitity is reserved for our Youth Volunteer Corps members ages 11-18.
Join us as we help the Reading Downtown Improvement District (DID) brighten up Penn Street and plant some blooms! DID works closely with the Penn State Master Gardeners to make sure the city is welcoming and colorful for summer events like the weekly Farmer's Market and the Downtown Concert series. Reading has a lot to offer, but it takes volunteers like you to help make it all happen! YVC members will work with YVC staff and master gardeners to plant and maintain the flower beds on Penn Street. All equipment (gloves, shovels, etc) will be provided. Hope to see you there!
